Our October weekends are dwindling down quickly, so Sydney & I decided to wrangle our troops and head to a pumpkin patch for some Halloween fun.
It was a school-less Monday, so we met Kacey’s brood and frolicked in Holland Farms’ fields for a fabulous afternoon.
You start in the field house, where you pay a small fee for wristband access to all the activities (10 bucks if you want to carry home a pumpkin, 6 bucks if not). This is also where you recharge from the ridiculous fall heat (come on, Florida!) with drinks, boiled peanuts, and even a large selection of Holland Farms own jams and jellies.
Then you release the demons – ah, I mean, *children* – into the field and watch them go wild.
There’s a zip line for the vertically-challenged.
And a hayride past Holland Farms’ beautiful cotton and sunflower fields.
The hayride lands you right smack dab in the middle of their vast pumpkin patch.
And you end your day getting lost in their corn maze.
It was a good afternoon with good friends.
